Civil rights and labor leader Dolores Huerta has spent decades organizing communities, fighting for workers and encouraging people to use their voices at the ballot box.

In this episode of "Pickup Lines" with KSAT's Ernie Zuniga, Huerta reflected on the experiences that shaped her activism, from her childhood in New Mexico and California to her work as a teacher and organizer.

Huerta said her time in schools exposed stark differences in resources available to white students compared with Latino, Black and Filipino students.
