SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - The Sherman Bearcats and Denison Yellow Jackets will meet Friday for the 128th Battle of the Ax with new head coaches leading both teams.

With a track record of transforming programs, Efrain Ramos is taking over as the new head coach of the Sherman Bearcats."I think God puts me in places, just another blessing that he's letting me know, he's steering me in this direction," said Ramos.

He was the Anna Coyotes defensive coordinator, helping lead them to a state championship in 2023.
