The Comal County Commissioners Court held a public hearing on the proposed budget and tax rate for fiscal year 2027 and adopted amendments to the proposed budget on Thursday, Aug. 20.

The budget and tax rate will not be finalized until September.

Comal County Judge Kristen Hoyt presented a budget of approximately $213 million with a tax rate of $0. 305015 per $100 - the same as last year - at the Aug. 6 meeting, The Herald-Zeitung previously reported.
