HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Thursday on Peach Tree Road near Payne Springs, according to Payne Springs Fire Rescue.

The collision occurred while crews were responding to a 54-acre fire in Henderson County; however, neither the pedestrian nor the vehicle's driver was involved with the emergency response to the fire, the department said.

The pedestrian suffered what appeared to be minor injuries, the department said, and was taken to a local hospital via a private vehicle.
