Over the past several days, local voter registrars in counties across Texas have received an onslaught of new voter registrations and updates to voter registration records submitted through the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Some of those submissions date as far back as October 2025, but due to an error, they were not sent to the local voter registrars until this past week.

"In Kerr County, we received approximately 1,000 records to process as a result of a technological error at the state level that caused a major backlog," Kerr County Voter Registrar Bob Reeves said.
