(25News Now/Gray News) - A 19-year-old man was sentenced Monday to 12 years in prison for a drunken driving crash that killed a 71-year-old woman, authorities said.

Caleb Lawson, 19, received 10 years for aggravated driving under the influence and two more years for leaving the scene of the crash on U.S. Route 150 on Oct. 18, 2025. The crash killed 71-year-old Alice Fulks.

Fulks worked for Nussbaum Trucking and State Farm Insurance, enjoyed puzzles and loved spending time with her grandchildren, according to her obituary.
