(KGNS) - The Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is highlighting mental health resources in September, National Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month.

Miguel Rangel of AHEC said the event drew more than 400 participants to its recent 988 5K You Are Not Alone walk and run and included a health and wellness fair with more than 40 providers discussing their services, including Border Region.

Rangel said people can find a list of providers on the AHEC website.
