BLUE RIDGE, Texas (KXII) - Blue Ridge ISD has placed the high school's head football coach and athletic director on leave amid investigation into potential eligibility violations.

In a letter to the Blue Ridge community, Superintendent Matthew Brown said Head Football Coach and Athletic Director Jason Russell has been placed on leave as the district investigates allegations of eligibility documentation violations for some football players.

Brown said the district is reporting their findings to the District Executive Committee and UIL.
