WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A former Baylor assistant men's basketball coach has agreed to a two-year show-cause order after admitting he placed thousands of bets on professional and college sports, according to a resolution released by the NCAA.

Jared Nuness was under investigation after being flagged by a third-party sports wagering monitoring system in November of 2025, according to NCAA documents.

Baylor conducted its own internal investigation, and in December of 2025, turned its findings into the NCAA to begin a joint investigation.
