SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) -SpaceX satellite earth station antennas could soon be located in the parking lot of Midway Mall after the Sherman Planning and Zoning Commission approved the company's request."The Sherman Planning and Zoning Committee will consider a request by SpaceX to locate one of these antenna arrays for the Starlink system in the parking lot of the Midway Mall," said Nate Strauch, communications manager for the city of Sherman.

What the antennas would doIn its proposal, SpaceX calls the equipment a satellite earth station antenna.

It links Starlink satellites to fiber optic lines already buried nearby, which can mean faster internet.
