The Uvalde Leader-News purchased a $1,676. 79 compression recovery system for Uvalde High School athletes with proceeds from its annual Coyotes football poster.

The Normatec 3 Full Body Compression Recovery System uses targeted air compression to promote circulation and help relieve muscle soreness and fatigue after workouts and other physical activity.

"Our athletes have began using the Normatec as part of their recovery routines and it has been a tremendous help," UHS athletic trainer Alex Villegas said.
