LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - A bond reduction hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 17 for a Longview man charged in connection with the December 2025 shooting death of Byrondrick Davis.

DeQuarius Rashod Hilburn, 28, appeared Wednesday in the 188th District Court, where visiting Judge Rebecca Simpson presided.

Defense attorney Michael Todd and Gregg County prosecutor Joseph Fenlaw spoke with each other and then with the judge before the hearing date was set.
