Bond has been denied for now on a second murder charge for an El Salvador teen accused of killing two different young people about eight months apart.

Judge Hazel Jones on Thursday denied bond for Jefferson Velasquez, an 18-year-old from El Salvador just charged with a new murder this week for the April fatal shooting of 27-year-old Noah Ramirez outside Diosa, a Midtown nightclub.

Houston Police investigated the April shooting, but Velasquez had been in custody since June, when he was arrested and charged in a Harris County Sheriff's Office murder case involving the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Angel Garcia at an August 2025 large house party in East Harris County.
