MAGNOLIA, Texas - Officers with the Magnolia Police Department shot a man late Saturday night after authorities say he raised a pistol toward an officer during a traffic stop on Sugar Bend Drive, just off FM 1774.

According to a news release from the Chief Kyle Montgomery, the driver refused to identify himself or get out of the vehicle.

When an officer opened the driver's door, the man allegedly reached toward the door panel.
