The Pecan Bayou Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), in collaboration with Texas A&M Forest Service, Comanche Electric Cooperative Association, and Brown County, announces that the application window for Round 2 of the Community Wildfire Defense Grant (CWDG) Program is now open.

The CWDG Program offers 100% reimbursement to landowners in eligible project areas for brush management, tree and shrub pruning, and range planting.

The program is funded through the USDA's Community Wildfire Defense Grant program, administered through the US Forest Service and Texas A&M Forest Service.
