FOX 2 - If there was ever a time for Harry Houdini to reveal himself - it would be in Detroit on Halloween 2026 - 100 years since the figurative curtain fell on the master magician for the last time, at least on this earthly plane.

The backstory: Harry Houdini died in Detroit on Oct. 31, 1926, at Grace Hospital from peritonitis, or infection, caused by a ruptured appendix.

He died at 1:26 p.m. The 52-year-old completed a full performance lasting two and a half hours at the Garrick Theater on Oct. 24, but collapsed after the curtain fell.
