LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - After being closed for close to two years, the Paul Martin Jones Recreation Center pool will be opening Friday.

The pool was closed because it needed repairs to fix major water leaks, and a replacement of the gutter system."People have stopped me, you know, when's the pool going to be ready?" Noah Gurrola, aquatic supervisor with the City of Longview said.

"So we know exactly what it means to people, and we know how excited people are, you know, to get the pool back."
