GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- On Friday, the Texas Supreme Court ruled to block Galveston County's new redistricting maps for the November election.

Commissioners' approval of the new maps in June sparked outrage among some voters, who said they would impact the minority vote and rip apart communities.
