Hundreds gathered at River Star Arts and Event Park on Saturday, Oct. 10, for the Kerrville Public Utility Board's sixth annual bucket truck ride event, celebrating Public Power Week with family-friendly activities and a unique view of Kerrville from high above the ground.
The event featured free hot dogs, refreshments, snow cones, face painting, children's activities and an appearance by KPUB's squirrel mascot, Kerrby.
Attendees also watched a live arc-and-spark electricity demonstration and could ride in one of three bucket trucks operated by KPUB crews.
