The Comal County Sheriff's Office has identified the man found deceased near the shoreline of Canyon Lake on Sunday as 40-year-old Robert Allen Chapman of Wimberly.

Chapman was located near Canyon Park Road at approximately 10:45 a.m., The Herald-Zeitung previously reported.

The circumstances surrounding Chapman's death remain under investigation, but authorities believe there is no danger or ongoing threat to the community.
