EAGLE PASS, Texas - A woman was arrested after allegedly leaving two young children, including a toddler in a heavily soiled diaper, home alone without adult supervision while she traveled to Mexico, police said Tuesday.

What we know: Martha Catalina Reyes was charged with abandoning or endangering a child with intent to return, a state jail felony, according to a release from the Eagle Pass Police Department.

Officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Crown Hill around 11 p.m. Sunday for a welfare check involving an 11-year-old boy and a 2-year-old boy.
