LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Texas Tech University System is seeking the Texas Attorney General's opinion to determine what contract details can be released following the university's announcement of the renaming of its football stadium.

On July 17, Texas Tech Athletics announced a 15-year naming rights agreement with Galaxy, rebranding the university's stadium as Galaxy Stadium.

KCBD submitted an open records request on the same day of the announcement, July 17.
