Power was restored to the Bexar County Adult Detention Center, according to Bexar County Judge Peter Sakai, after spending Saturday on backup power generators.

Sakai said he visited the facility Saturday and, on Sunday, released a statement that power was restored across the facility.

"I want the public, our employees and the families of those in our custody to know that the jail is up and operational," Sakai said.
