Judge Bert Richardson, candidate for chief justice of the 4th Court of Appeals, spoke to the Republican Women of Kerr County luncheon last Friday after local retired Judge Steve Ables described him in his introduction as "truly the essence of what a judge should be." Ables described Richardson, with whom he has worked for many years while on the bench and as the Region 6 administrative judge, as someone with the qualities of patience, ability to listen and other qualities necessary in a good judge and described Richardson as a role model for other judges.

"Don't hesitate to support Judge Richardson," Ables told the luncheon attendees.

"You don't often see your legislators, but most of you in here will see a judge at some point," Richardson said in his opening remarks.
