BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - For the 19th consecutive year, families lined up across Bryan-College Station to ensure their children are riding safely, taking advantage of free professional car seat inspections and replacements.

The annual event, hosted through a partnership between Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, and the Texas Department of Transportation, pairs parents with certified safety inspectors who check installations and teach families proper fitting based on a child's height and weight."Every family that arrives to this car seat event will leave safer than they arrived," said Linda McMillan, public communications director at Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers.

Inspections take roughly 30 minutes per child, giving technicians enough time to review manufacturer guidelines, check expiration dates, and show parents how to secure the harness properly.
