Houston police are investigating after a bicyclist reported finding a decomposed body Monday evening in west Houston.

According to Houston Police Department Lt. Horelica, the bicyclist called 911 around 6:10 p.m. Aug. 10 after discovering the body in the vicinity of the 1400 block of N. Eldridge Parkway, near the Bayou Rifles - Addicks Range.

Due to the condition of the remains, police were unable to immediately determine the person's age or gender.
