GRAYSON COUNTY, Texas (KXII) - Grayson County commissioners on Tuesday approved a certificate of obligation bond of about $8. 1 million to purchase land for a future criminal justice complex.

The Grayson County Justice Center has been located in downtown Sherman since the 1800s."The jail has been in downtown Sherman since the courthouse was built back in the 1800s. Even in the current courthouse right now is where the old jail location was on the 4th floor," said Grayson County Judge Bruce Dawsey.

Commissioners say the facility is out of space to keep growing.
