Afternoon showers and thunderstorms will taper off into this evening.

Overnight, skies will be partly to mostly cloudy as temperatures drop into the upper 60s by Thursday morning.

A strong fall cold front is expected to move through East Texas on Friday, early enough in the day that highs on Friday will only be in the upper 60s and low 70s.
