JACKSONVILLE, Texas (KTRE) - Monty Stevenson earned his first win as head coach of the Jacksonville Indians more than 18 months after he was hired.

Jacksonville beat Dallas Pinkston 49-6 on Friday, marking the team's first win since Sept. 5, 2024 when the Indians beat Brownsboro.

Stevenson said his focus was on his players rather than himself."I know my name is on this program and I do have my first win but at the end of the day it's all about those kids and their faces to get them all excited about games moving forward," Stevenson said.
