TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - A Tyler Junior College administrator is helping shape the future of higher education across Texas, working to make earning a bachelor's degree faster and more affordable.

Belinda Prihoda; TJC's director for institutional compliance, curriculum and effectiveness; was selected as one of just 13 educators statewide to serve on a new Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board committee.

Convened at the request of Governor Greg Abbott, the 13-member group is tasked with developing a 90-hour, three-year baccalaureate degree plan.
