When Don Lewis started noticing bees around the side of his home in southeast Houston, he knew he had a problem.

The bees had built a colony underneath the window of his master bedroom in the 5600 block of Malmedy Road.

Lewis, a retiree from the City of Houston, had been living with the unwanted guests for months.
