Astros clinch playoff spot on the last day of the season

The Houston Astros clinched the AL West division title on the final day of the season after the Texas Rangers lost to the Minnesota Twins.

The Houston Astros are playoff bound once again after clinching the AL West division title Sunday afternoon while playing the A's.

Houston was leading 9-0 in the 8th inning when the Rangers lost to the Twins.

The loss by Texas clinched the AL West title.
