The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites the public to discover their family history on Aug. 12 and every second Wednesday of the month, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at 636 Oakhaven in Pleasanton.

As America marks 250 years, there are also 250 years of Americans from every continent who served to build, protect and defend this country.

Every family has contributed to the American story in its own way and someone in your family is part of that story.
