HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A former Harris County sheriff's deputy is charged with sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl after court records state he communicated with her through a dating app and picked her up earlier this year.

Nicholas Burbridge, 34, was arrested Monday after he was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14.

Court records allege he knew the girl was a minor, engaged in sexual conduct with her and offered to buy her edibles.
