The Big Spring City Council continued work Tuesday on the city's proposed 2026-27 budget, with much of the discussion centered on infrastructure improvements, water and wastewater systems, airport expansion and public safety.
City Manager Todd Darden and department directors guided council members through the proposed enterprise fund budgets, which include utilities, the airport, EMS, sanitation and the landfill.
Officials emphasized that many of the proposed expenditures are aimed at replacing aging infrastructure while preparing for future growth.
