As Election Day 2026 swiftly approaches, Guadalupe County leaders made steps to help community members choose their next leaders and ensure residents have easily accessed polling places.

However, county officials still have some kinks to work out before the big day, Precinct 2 Guadalupe County Commissioner Drew Engelke said.

At issue is the loss and replacement of one of the vote centers the county usually uses as an early voting polling location, he said.
