MOODY, Texas (KWTX) - A Moody police officer remains free on bond after his arrest this week in an alleged domestic dispute with his wife in Gatesville.
Gatesville police officers arrested Thomas Whayne-Hunt Baldwin, 35, on a Class C misdemeanor charge of assault by contact family violence and a Class A misdemeanor count of unlawful restraint after a Monday altercation with his wife.
According to arrest documents, Baldwin and his 28-year-old wife got into an argument at a McDonald's in the 2300 block of Main Street about 6:30 p.m. and she started walking "to get away from the argument."Baldwin followed her in their vehicle, parked in the 2400 block of Business Highway 36 and approached his wife, an arrest affidavit alleges.
