GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas - More than two years after Hurricane Beryl, Jada Garcia and her husband, Porfirio, are still living with the damage the storm caused to their Galveston home.

A tree next to the house uprooted during the hurricane, lifting part of the home and separating sections of the walls and flooring.

The family has placed materials under the damaged side of the house to help keep out the heat and cold, but Garcia said the home still needs significant work.
