KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - The Killeen city council voted to approve a proposal for a highly-debated cell phone tower on the First Assembly of God property in a 6-1 vote.
The church requested a conditional use permit to allow an approximately 85-foot tower on the roughly 2-acre site at 7432 E. Trimmier Road.
Church leaders said the tower would help address problems with streaming services and could support future residential development in the area.
