Women who helped shape Houston's civic life, education system and neighborhoods will be the focus of a Women's Equality Day program at The Heritage Society.
The Heritage Society and the League of Women Voters Houston will host the event at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 1100 Bagby Street.
The program will mark the anniversary of the 19th Amendment and examine the history of women's participation in public life.
