AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Workforce Commission announced Texas added 1,600 nonfarm jobs in July, bringing total employment to 14. 468 million jobs.
The state added 165,600 jobs over the past year, a 1. 2% annual growth rate that the commission said was 1 percentage point above the national rate.
By the numbers: Texas' civilian labor force increased by 10,800 people in July, according to the commission.
