An Edinburg woman accused of killing her two children and setting a vehicle on fire with them inside was indicted on several charges, including capital murder, records show.
Marlene Vidal, 34, was indicted Aug. 6 on the following seven counts, according to the indictment filed in the 437th District Court: First responders located the bodies just before 5 a.m. on May 15 behind a warehouse in the 500 block of Richland Hills Drive, near Potranco Road.
The indictment states Vidal intentionally and knowingly caused the deaths of Aleeza Elena Vidal, 6, and Adrian Akeel Vidal, 5, by cutting and stabbing both children with a knife.
