Soon, the enchanting sound of bells will fill the Marktplatz as intricately crafted ancestral figurines come to life in a captivating display of tradition and artistry at the new Glockenspiel Bell Tower Plaza.

The figurines in Fredericksburg's glockenspiel are being modeled not only on Fredericksburg's ancestors, but also a few of their descendants.

Bell Foundry Christoph, the contractor making the tower, is using modern descendants and citizens as models for the 3D imaging process to create the 36-inch animated figurines.
