SUGAR LAND, Texas - Drivers traveling through Sugar Land this weekend should plan for delays as the Texas Department of Transportation closes all northbound main lanes of US-59/I-69 for bridge maintenance.

The closure affects about a 2-mile stretch of the freeway, from Exit 111 at Sugar Creek/Dairy Ashford to South Kirkwood Road.

The closure begins Friday, Sept. 18, at 9 p.m. and is expected to remain in place until Monday, Sept. 21, at 5 a.m. Once the closure begins, northbound drivers will be directed off the freeway at Exit 111, near Sugar Creek and Dairy Ashford.
