(KGNS) - A new candidate has entered the race for the Laredo City Council.

Clarissa "Claire" Cardenas officially launched her campaign for District 3, joined by family and supporters.

In an interview with KGNS, Cardenas said her campaign priorities include addressing backlogs in public services, cleaning up neighborhoods, and reducing traffic along State Highway 359."The traffic on 359 is horrible. I live there, I pass by there every day, and it takes forever to get out of there," Cardenas said.
