The second time was the charm for the city of Fredericksburg to greenlight the roadway plans for the property in development as the Waldorf Astoria Hill Country Resort near Goehmann Road.

The resolution, approved at a Sept. 29 special meeting of City Council, directs city staff to negotiate a proposed annexation and development agreement with Lantana Land Holdings, LLC, and bring it back within 60 days for consideration.

"This is an incredibly positive milestone for Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country and for our relationship with the City of Fredericksburg," said Mark Harmon, developer of Waldorf Astoria Texas Hill Country.
