Is Pier Galveston's 19 holding up - or is it due for a major overhaul?

That's the question on Galveston's working waterfront, where some business owners and tenants who work these docks every day say the pier is in serious need of attention.

They're pointing to worn boards, uneven surfaces, aging pilings and spots where the concrete appears to be sinking.
