Fredericksburg has become the 100th community in Texas to earn the Music Friendly Texas Certified Community designation from the Texas Music Office.

The Texas Economic Development & Tourism Office announced the designation Oct. 1 after Fredericksburg completed the program's multi-step certification process.

The Music Friendly Texas program was introduced by the Texas Music Office in 2016 to foster music-related economic development and job creation in communities across the state.
