BY TAEZER THOMPSON Multimedia Journalist The smell of fresh-baked cakes and cookies are filling University Plaza once again, as The Red Umbrella Bakery reopened its storefront on Oct. 9.

The store temporarily closed its doors in August to revamp and renew the shop, as well as a few behind-the-scenes operations.

The Red Umbrella Bakery is now open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. It opened with new staff members and new flavors, alongside their classic best-selling cupcakes and cookies.
