A young Houston man died early this morning after losing control of his vehicle on Loop 610 North near the McCarty exit.

The crash was reported at approximately 12:23 a.m. The victim, described as a man in his 20s, was the sole occupant of a Lexus four-door sedan.

According to authorities, the car was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control, went over the hill and slammed into a barricade.
